Breast Cancer Awareness

The Fall-season is here, and we’re well into the month of October, which is a beautiful time of the year. It’s merely the little things that this season brings that make our lives feel so authentic. The fires, the leaves, the colors of the trees, pumpkins, hayrides, the smell of cinnamon and freshly baked pies, apple harvests, cozying up to a good book with a glass of spiced wine or pumpkin lattes.

But with the arrival of October, it is not just about the genuine, rustic, and warming feeling. Nothing brings more authenticity to the month of October than Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the color PINK! This time of year where family, friends, organizations and businesses come together to help increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.

West Ave Grille has taken part in Breast Cancer Awareness month by supporting The Breathing Room Foundation. This Foundation is a local non-profit organization that recognizes the daily struggles of cancer diagnosis. A family can endure emotional, spiritual, physical and financial strain, so the Breathing Room strives to do whatever it takes to provide a bit of “breathing room” from the daily struggle against cancer.

So you ask, why has it been 10 years since West Ave Grille opened its first restaurant and we are just introducing a blog now? The answer it simple. Maintain the consistent clientele we have established throughout the years, while reaching out to various communities unfamiliar about “Fresh Food and Friendly Folks”. That is our slogan and we stand behind every word.
